BIO:

Akyea Jennings burst onto the comedy scene in 2021, making her debut by opening for comedian “Hamburger” and later
performing for thousands as the opening act for Desi Banks. From the moment she stepped on stage, Akyea knew she had
found her calling. Her passion for film and storytelling led her to write, produce, and direct her first comedy series, “The
Culdesac,” and has also expanded her acting repertoire, appearing in skits with Desi Banks and Kountry Wayne series and
landing a role in the movie “Follow The Money Trail,” now available on YouTube, where she plays the co-star’s baby mother.

In addition to her work in film, Akyea has been featured in Shaffer Harrington’s stage play and cast in several upcoming
movies, including “BlaqFu” and “Trading Places.” These roles highlight her impressive acting skills and vocal abilities.,
establishing her as a versatile talent in the entertainment industry.

Akyea’s journey is marked by resilience and determination. After graduating from Southeastern University, she worked as a
medical assistant by day while pursuing her comedy career. Overcoming the challenges of Domestic violence, Akyea’s
perseverance paid off when she received the Best Comedian Award in 2024 from Backyard Comedy LLC.

Despite her busy schedule, Akyea remains a devoted mother, cherishing her time at home with her children. When she’s not
traveling for performances, acting, or participating in skits, she enjoys being a homebody. Akyea is also actively involved in the
acting community, frequently doing background work and serving as an extra.

Akyea’s creative self-expression is a driving force in her life, and she is passionate about helping others unlock their own
creativity. Through her work, she aims to inspire and empower others to embrace their talents and pursue their dreams.
